In recent seasons Northumbria police have merged with Durham Constabulary in order to resurrect the force cricket team,

The team is approaching its 3rd season and we ended up last year being runners up in the national knockout which was held at Grace Road Leicester.

This season the aim is to go one better and we are always looking for new players to join the talented squad we currently have. Due to work commitments and club cricket we have no net sessions planned.

The team is superbly backed by sports and social and also at SMT level and this is reflected in the financial backing and also force sport leave.

The force has close links to the British Police Cricket setup and have three players selected to represent the force at national level this year. The first game of the 2017 season sees Northumbria and Durham host police Scotland on 27th April 2017.
