Padel Section 1st Tournament
On the weekend of 19th 20th July Northumbria Padel Section played Padelin their first ever inter Police Padel Tournament in Nottingham.
Playing across the two days were ourselves, Essex, GMP and Notts police.
On the first day we played a team league format with GMP coming first, unfortunately we finished bottom of the pile but it was a really good standard particularly in the higher bracket players but never the less we held our own and won a good portion of matches and it was tight in the points.
2nd day was a knockout based event. 2 of our teams got into the “trophy” after finishing in the top 2 in the group with one getting knocked out in the QF and one in the semis. The other 2 teams went into the “shield” and got knocked out in the QF.
