The Northumbria Police Triathlon Section was formed in 2012 and is affiliated to British Triathlon under the club name Force 10.

We regularly have members representing the club in local, national and international events competing in every discipline from sprint to ironman distance in triathlon and duathlon.

As 2021 slowly merged from the gloom of lockdown and little or no racing in 2020,many of the team took up their challenges in races across the country and abroadwith some fantastic results by all those who raced

Plaudits must however go to two of our team: Dani Jackson and Karen Graham. Good friends and competitors went head-to-head in the ITU World Championship qualifiers at Woodhorn Museum to race for GB in DubaiIt is fantastic that both qualified,Dani taking 2nd in age group, with Karen qualifying in 4th.

Dani is still waiting for confirmation of qualifying again for GB in the sprint Tri having qualified at the Redcar sprint.

Sian Slater was our only entrant at the middle distance PSUK championships hosted by Outlaw Triathlon in Borewood, Hertfordshire. Head over to our Facebook page for a full race report by Sian on what sounded like a very tough race.

We hope to hear of many more results in the 2022 season.
