Northumbria Police Men’s Basketball Section Report
NORPOL– Northumbria Police Basketball Section
Team NORPOL compete in the TyneMet Basketball League playing competitive games throughout the season ( Sept – April ) including League Cup games. The team also participate in the yearly Police National Finals.
The team are happy to consider any players with experience at a reasonable level, the team also have a small number of open training sessions during the year, if potential players want to join.
All games will be open to those players who are registered accordingly with Basketball England, The TyneMet Basketball League and Northumbria Police Sports and Social Club.
Latest Update
The team are currently completing in Division 2 of the Tynemet League.
The also attended 2024 National Police Finals in Worcester. The team performed well making it to the quarter finals, this was lost in a very close game and moved the team in the plate competition. Norpol emerged plate champions finishing 5th in the country.
